How we write, test and fix what we publish.

Original content

Every recipe and guide on FitRecipeTips is written for this site. We do not copy recipes from other publishers. Where we draw on a traditional dish or technique, we say so in the introduction.

Recipe testing

Recipes are cooked in a home kitchen using standard U.S. measurements and common equipment. We list prep and cook times as realistic estimates for a home cook, and we note where results may vary, for example with different ovens or broilers.

Food safety

We include safe internal temperatures for meat, poultry, seafood and eggs and follow published U.S. guidance such as that from FoodSafety.gov and the USDA for storage times. Our storage notes are general guidance; when in doubt, throw it out.

Nutrition language

We describe food in cooking terms. We avoid health, weight-loss or disease claims, and we do not use before-and-after images. Approximate protein numbers are estimates calculated from typical ingredient values and are labeled as such.

Images

We use licensed photos with credit, or branded cards created for the site. Licensed photos may show a similar dish rather than the exact recipe, and we say so on the page.

Independence

FitRecipeTips shows no ads, publishes no sponsored posts and accepts no payment for recipes or reviews. We promote the site with Google Ads campaigns; that has no influence on what we publish.

Corrections

If you spot an error, please tell us. We review reports promptly, correct mistakes and update the date on the page when we make a meaningful change.
